It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Nelle Johnson (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), born in Tamms, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Adams and Mable Adams (Forsythe); and her husband George F. Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Scott Johnson of Hendersonville, N. C. and Susan Johnson of Santa Fe, N. M.; and her siblings, Carol Jean Thomas of Mt. Vernon, IL, Inez Donnigan of Carbondale and Lynn Dean Adams of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by nieces a nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Cairo Customs House, P.O. Box 151 Cairo, IL 62914.
