He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Clarence and Lessie Leoma Whitaker Chipman; his wife E. Verneal Evans; his siblings, Larry Chipman, Hazel Chipman and Elvesa Williamson; and his stepgrandson Ean Reinold.
He is survived by: his daughter Venita Engle (Mike) of Maywood; his stepchildren, Patsy Siwek (Larry) of Quincy, IL and Rick Duff of Quincy; his granddaughter Maegan Ludwig (Jerad) of Ewing; his great grandchildren, Shaine Chipman, Brentlee Abell and Gunner Ludwig; and his siblings, Hobart Chipman of Durham, MO, Terry Chipman (Barbara) of Palmyra, MO and Doris Jean Garkie of Quincy, IL. He is also survived by 9 step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Durham United Methodist Church or to the Durham Cemetery Association.
