It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Hopkins of Canton, Missouri, who passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lou may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lou touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Bain and Mable Wells Bain-Volkart; her husband Richard Hopkins; her son Roger Hopkins; her granddaughter Amanda Hopkins; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Hopkins and Ronnie Coremeny.
She is survived by: her children, Dianna Shelley (Mark) of Canton, Rick Hopkins of Jacksonville and Debbie Tolson of Panama City; and her siblings-in-law, Letha McGomough (James) of Unionville, Ralph Hopkins (Shelia) of Bloomfield and Paul Hopkins of Ottumwa. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
