He is survived by: his children, Rita McDermott of Pinckneyville, IL, Gregory McDermott (April) of Oglesby, IL, Kevin McDermott of Pinckneyville, IL, Brian McDermott of St. Louis, MO, Morgan McDermott of Clinton, IA, Megan Shadle (Shawn) of Clinton, IA, Aaron Brandt (Andrea) of Belleville, IL, Michelle Dickneite (Brian) of Murphysboro, IL and Melissa Hapgood of Murphysboro, IL; his grandchildren, Krista, Tara (Matt), Bruce (Marg), Cordell, Elizabeth, Cody, Casi and Natalie; and his great grandchildren, Michael, London, Sophia, Grayson and Cayden. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
