She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Lamar Barton and Allean Campbell Barton; her brother Byron Reed Barton; and her nephews, Michael C. Rothweiler and Bobby Taylor.

She is survived by: her husband Campbell Wallace McPherson; her nephews, Cary Reed Barton (Connie), Daniel Glen (Peggy), Denny Taylor (Kaye) and James G. Rothweiler; and her niece Patricia Rothweiler.
