He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Chester and Mickey Bess (Cook); and his siblings, Mary Jane Bess, Betty Whitley and Jackie Bess.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul Bess of Dexter, Rodney Bess (Misty) of Dexter and Keith Bess (Emily) of Advance, Missouri; his grandchildren, Caleb Bess, Cassie Bess, Makenna Bess and Lily Bess; and his siblings, Don Bess (Gale) of Dexter, Bonnie Jaco (Leon) of Marble Hill, Janet Bracken (Ricky Joe) of Bloomfield, Brenda O'Connell (Tony) of Dexter and Shelia Bess of Dexter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew, also, by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chiles-Cooper/ Watkins and Sons Funeral Services (106 N Prairie St, Bloomfield, MO 63825). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
