He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sparks and Velma Sparks (Derry); his wife Cora Roberta Jennings; and his siblings, Lula Dillion, Roy Sparks, Jr., Nadine Sparks and David Sparks.

He is survived by: his sister Violet St. Clair; and his sister-in-law Linda Sparks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
