She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Thomas and Willie Marie Shaffner (Parks). She is survived by: her children, Patricia "Pat" (Gary Ormsby), Harold William "Tom" Allen II (Melody) and Rebecca Allen-Flint (Becky); and her sister Shyrlee Davis. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
