He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Smolczyk and Lois Smolczyk (Mong); his wife LeeAnn (LaRocque); and his daughter Aimee. He is survived by: his sons, Rick Smolczyk (Karen) of Mapleton, IL and Rob Smolczyk (Sam) of Liberty, MO; and his grandchildren, Tyler Smolczyk (Dawn) of Peoria, IL, Nate Smolczyk of Peoria, IL, Chase Stranz (Brianna) of Canton, IL and Maddison Stranz.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to a local charity of your choice. Dick always supported the Special Olympics, St Jude's, and the Catholic church but believed that charity always began at home.
