He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Brewster; and his children, Darrell DeWayne Gardner, Jonathan David Gardner, Eric James Gardner, Joseph Lehi Gardner (Cheryl), Richard Patrick Gardner, Suzanne Jean Parker (Sammie), Cameron Gardner and Timothy Clay Gardner (Sobin). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
