With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Edward Wilson (Cameron, Missouri), born in Shelbyville, Missouri, who passed away on May 26, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Wilson and Elva Rutter Wilson; and his siblings, Ruby Stuckey, Moses Franklin Wilson, Joseph Richard Wilson and Wanda Arnett.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Jane Wilson (Crenshaw); his daughters, Delores W. Wharton and Carla J. Shaner (Jim); his grandchildren, Stephanie Greenwood (Kevin), David Wharton (Erika), Dr. James Shaner (Michelle), Jarred Shaner and Rebecca Stites (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Jude, Harper, Sullivan, Margot and Brooks.
Carl will be laid to rest at the Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo., on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at a private ceremony due to coronavirus.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives, 101 E. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024.
