He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Knoerle and Lea Merdian Knoerle; his former wife Nancy Peel; his wife Darlene Swanson; and his son Steven Knoerle.
He is survived by: his son Michael Knoerle (Dana); his grandchildren, Anna, Hope, Michael, Jace and Bryleigh; and his brother Joe Knoerle (Susan).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
