He is survived by: his children, Merideth Nitzel and Matthew Putnam of Liberty, Missouri; his grandchildren, Alexa Singh (Gary), Sophie Putnam, Grace Putnam, Kailar Nitzel, Seth Nitzel and Liz Nitzel; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexander Singh and Aries; his sister Linda Lock of Liberty, Missouri; and his former wife Jane Maloney Putnam.
