He is survived by: his sons, William Charles Copeland II and Michael Duane Copeland; his granddaughter Cynthia Killscrow-Lieb; his great grandchild Amelia Lieb; his siblings, Charles Copeland, Annette Zarkowski and Mary Robaszkiewicz; and also Jan Joy.
