He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Eugene and Evelyn Holman (Pollock); his granddaughter Charity Martin; his son-in-law Nicholas Collins; and his grandparents, Art, Alta Holman and Stella McIntire.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Holman; his daughters, Shera Collins of Birmingham and Sandy Stilgenbauer (Jackson) of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Mitchell Brenn Brockman (Angela), Coby Brockman, Keegan Brockman, Mary Robertson (Deshawn), Marcus Martin (Demi), Amelia Mell (Camron) and Braden Collins; and his great grandchildren, Emery, Kapri, Desmond Robertson, Brecken Martin, Maisy Camron and Vivian Shamburg.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family for a Scholarship to be set up for UMKC Pharmacist program in memory of Gene.
