He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Gutierrez and Josephine Gutierrez; and his sister Floretta Gutierrez. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gutierrez; his children, Mel Gutierrez (Diane) and Leslie Steward (Jim); his grandchildren, Aimee Gutierrez, Mel Gutierrez Jr., Josh Gutierrez, Eric Brueggman, James Steward III, Joseph Steward and Andy Steward; his great grandchildren, Landon, Alexis, Mariah, Zoe, Lilli and Paisley; and his sister Mary Ann Hayes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
