He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Berry and Ruth Elizabeth Berry (Davis); his stepmother Patsy Berry (Ford); his sister Shirley Tucker (Berry); and his nephew Chris Berry.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Amelia Berry (Watson); his children, Carol Nellis (Duane) of Climax Springs, MO, John Berry Jr. (Amy) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Julia Soptic (Joe) of Kansas City, KS; his grandchildren, Kyle Berry of Port Orchard, WA, Connor Berry of Kansas City, MO, Anna Berry of Kansas City, MO, Jodi Soptic of Kansas City, KS and Justin Soptic of Kansas City, KS; and his siblings, Jerry Berry (Becky) of Humble, TX, Mark Berry (Guylene) of Jay, OK, Joe Berry (Yvonne) of Miami, OK, Virginia Justice (Doug) of Greensboro, NC and Sondra Berry of Grove, OK. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home-Camdenton (1270 Business Rte 5, Camdenton, MO 65020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Coffman Bend Fire Department.
