She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Slechta and Gladys Slechta; and her husband Harold Louis Schafer. She is survived by: her sons, Scott Louis and Peter Andrew. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
