He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Gottreu and Francis Marion Gottreu; and his brother Donald Gottreu. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gottreu of Camdenton, Missouri; his son Nils (Shannon Gottreu); his sisters, Joyce (Don Disbrow) and Roxanne (Ken Hale); and his sisters-in-law, Deanna Gottreu, Lenore Magelssen and Dianne (Don Elleman). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
