She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dandy and Dorothy Pattison-Dandy; her husband Kenneth Bartels; and her siblings, Martha Lezzini and William Dandy.

She is survived by: her children, Kim Bartels of Belton, Missouri, Kathryn Anderson (Ronald) of Osage Beach, Missouri, Paul Bartels (Janet) of Camdenton, Missouri and Patrick Bartels (Janice) of Shawnee, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Christopher Anderson, Troy Anderson, Steven Bartels, Tricia Hutchison (Josh), Joseph Bartels, Kenneth Bartels, Melanie Langford and Courtney Bartels. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or American Heart Association and left at the funeral home.
