He was predeceased by: his parents, Novie Murrell and Irene Murrell (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Davis. He is also survived by one sister; six children; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home.
