She was predeceased by: her parents, Lum Jefferson and Jewell Marie Meeks; her son Jeffrey Dame; and her siblings, Bonnie Tilden, Nora Bailes, Iva Nell Davis, William "Wig" Meeks, Leon Meeks and JD Meeks.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Dame, Shellia Palmer, Erin Dickinson, Pamela McGraw, Patricia Pierce, Larry Scurlock, Jennifer Wilson, John Timothy Scurlock and Michael Scurlock; and her sister Audrey Hedrick. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great, grandchildren, and close friends.
