With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Elaine Murphey Smith of Camden, Missouri, born in Clinton, Missouri, who passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward H. Murphey and Nellie F. Murphey (Mastin); her husband Lloyd F. Smith; and her daughter Sharon Leah Smith. She is survived by: her children, Susan Callaway (Terry) of Orrick, Michael Smith (Katheleen) of Stevensville and Roger Smith (Rosanna) of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Aaron Delbridge (April) of Pleasant Hill, Nathan Callaway (Valerie) of Kansas City, Kendrick Callaway (Mandy Lea) of Estes Park, Trevor Smith (Nikki Stirling) of Missoula and Lyndsay George (Austin) of Missoula, Montana; her great grandchildren, Angel, Seth, Hayden and Adelyn; her brother Joseph Murphey (Shirley) of Joplin, Missouri; and her siblings-in-law, Arthur Smith of Sarasota, Florida and Margie Beery of Warrensburg, Missouri. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends.
