He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Heft and Frances Heft (Billow); his wife Helen'Ginger' Heft (Hodes); and his sisters, Helen Rieke (Leo) and Margaret Heft.

He is survived by: his children, Cathy Cashen (Charley), Barbara Hedgpeth (Steve), Bill (Lan), Mike (Stephanie) and Tim (Sonie); and his grandchildren, Adam, Monica, Becky, Lindsey, Stephanie, Jenny, Abby, Karli, Paul and Kelly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
