With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loraine Darlene Comfort in California, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Loraine Darlene shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Loraine Darlene farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Miller and Lula Miller; her husband William "Bill" Comfort; her children, James Hurtt and Lanita Hayden; and her grandsons, Donald Hayden, Jr. and Corey VanWey.
She is survived by: her family Pat. She is also survived by 4 nieces, one nephew, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parker Mortuary (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
