It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Connie Rae Byrd of California, Missouri, born in Frederick, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Davis and Margaret Davis (Brixey); her uncle Jack; her former husband Tom Byrd; her parents-in-law, Elston and Vada Byrd; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Byrd, Gary Morse and Ramona Byrd.
She is survived by: her sisters, Margaret Lee and Kathy Jean; her aunt Mary; her cousins, Linda and Jack Lee Frost; her children, Mark Edward of Marshfield, Marla Cary (Mike) of Cookeville and Michelle Stokes-Byrd (Tarsha) of Richmond, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Marlee McShane (Tim), Taylor, Peyton Byrd, Emma Cary, Alexus, Deja, Amayah Harding and K. J. Austin; her great grandchildren, Oaklee, Case, Layke McShane and Ariyah Harding; her sisters, Margie Davis and Kathy Davis (Jennifer Joslin); and her husband Pat. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, her church family, and her many friends.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, in honor of Connie's deep love for animals, or to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund. Donations may be made in care of the funeral home.
