He was predeceased by: his son Scott Cooper; his siblings, Helen Watt and Vic Cooper; and his sister-in-law Doris Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Ann McLone; his children, Abigail Martin (Matt) of Westchester, Megan Cooper (Dan Nicholson) of Cairo and Gary Cooper Jr. (Julie) of Ogden; his grandchildren, Jameson, Declan, Finley, Samnel, Rose, Erica and Keith; and his brother-in-law Dave Watt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
