He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Courtway and Alba M. Courtway (Bequette); and his siblings, Homer Courtway, Bobby Courtway, Helen Dobbs, Genevieve Dobbs, Janet Courtway, Virginia Emily, Betty Evans and Beulah Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Courtway; his children, Brian Courtway (Tabatha Reed), Joseph Emily, Michael Emily (Megan), Phillip Emily and Terry Emily (Sidney); his grandchildren, Savannah Hawkins, Justin, Michael Courtway, Tyler Courtway, Stevin Emily, Jenna Emily, Haylea Emily, Jasper Reed, Tiger Germanceri, Lillian Germanceri, Jacob Emily, Carter Emily, Greyson Chambers and Mekaiden Chambers; his great grandchildren, Dawsen Hawkins, Dale Hawkins and Rugar Courtway; and his siblings, Faye Nottingham, Danny Courtway (Patty) and Linda Farris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
