He was predeceased by: his parents, John Minx and Fannie Minx (Yarbrough); his wife Emma Ruth Minx; and his siblings, Maxine Pratte-Snell, Anna Mae Minx, John Minx, Jr., Norman Minx, Jimmie Dale Minx, LeRoy Minx and Lindell Minx.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Minx (Beth) and Pat Brown (Richard); his brother Wayne Minx (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Dustyn Minx, Sheena Minx, Joanie Minx, RJ Collins and Cari Fletcher. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

“Sorry to hear Tom passed. He was my grandfather's, Elmer Minx, nephew. Many years ago he let me interview him concerning genealogy. Invited me into his home, a complete stranger, and was quite hospitable even played banjo and guitars with his kids for me. Best of all he loved the Lord. Patrick Minx”
