He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cox and Lydia Cox (Wonnell); his son Gary Cox; and his siblings, Darrall, Don, Billy Joe Cox, Maxine Leech, Nola Lorenzen and Peggy Sievers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Krenke; his daughter Sheri Harrison; his grandson Paxton Cox; and his sister Midge Lippincott. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
