He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Hale and Vesta Hale (Steely); his brother Ronnie Joe Hale; and his sister-in-law Mary Hale. He is survived by: his daughters, Starr Nelson and Sarah Haynam; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Kimberly, Jerald Todd, Elise and Maia Hayman; and his siblings, Vernon Hale, Larry Hale, Jerry Hale, Vivian Spurgeon (Ronald) and Jane Egidy (Larry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
