He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Strain and Viola Strain (Combs); his son Curtis Wayne Strain; his siblings-in-law, Norman Mills, Jim Anseaume, Harold Sanders and Esther Strain; and his close friend Border Collie.
He is survived by: his former wife Donna Kay Sanders; his wife Connie Deaton; his daughters, Kim Virtue (David) and Deanna Shannon (Danny); his grandchildren, Curtis Virtue (Tonya), Katie Peterson (Pete), Christopher Shannon (Kyla), Austyn Wade (Jacob), Walker Shannon, Kaylee, Kinlee, Raylee, Rylee Virtue, Case, Zella Peterson, Ollie and Ella Shannon; his siblings, Darrell Strain, Linda Kay Caruthers and Judy Mills; and his siblings-in-law, Mack Caruthers, Connie Sanders, Carolyn Anseaume, Charles, Carol Sanders, James Deaton, Kim Logue and Carol Alfred. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
