He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Pat" Alpers and Violet Alpers (Hall); his brother Loren Alpers (Carol); and his son-in-law Dan Springer. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Alpers of Kansas City, KS, Melissa Alpers-Springer of Columbia and Beth Alpers of Columbia; his grandchildren, Kate Springer (Brent Ehrhardt) of St. Louis, Emily Springer of Columbia and Paul Springer (Paige Runge) of Columbia; and his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Eloise and Quinn Ehrhardt of St. Louis.
