He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Upton and June Upton (Hayward); and his siblings, John, Glenn, Jim and Elizabeth Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn of Cabool; his sons, Clifford M. Upton of Lewistown, Gary E. Upton of Iowa City and Brad W. Upton of Bozeman, Montana; and his sisters, Sara Weschler of Mt. Pleasant, Anna Turner of Mt. Pleasant and Linda Stith of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
