He is survived by: his wife Myrna Faye Todd; his children, Walter Leo, Tod Darter (Kathy), Walter Darter (Jodi) and Myrna Sue McClellan (Bruce); his siblings, John Darter, Shirley Abrahamson (Darter), Dorothy Gaylor (Darter) and Doris Darter; and his grandchildren, Robert Nesbit, Tangela Broos, Sarah Darter, Elizabeth, Libby, Wilson, Katrina Bay, Emily Darter and Heather Vaughn. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
