He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Nielsen; his son Walter Nielsen; his parents, Soren Nielsen and Minnie Nielsen; and his siblings, Marvin Nielsen, Severin Nielsen and Amalia Hanneman.
He is survived by: his children, Soren Magner Nielsen (Phyllis), Melody Rader (Riley), Betty Jarrett (Benny) and Joyce Daniel (Walter). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
