It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lynda Downey of Butterfield, Missouri, born in Monett, Missouri, who passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hartford Talbert and Dotty Talbert (Crawford); and her husband James Downey. She is survived by: her son John Downey (Shanda) of Butterfield; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua and Justin; and her siblings, Danny Talbert of Pierce City, Mike Talbert of Neosho, Rusty Talbert of Granby, Sandy Wicker of Reavisville, Sally Chapman of St. Roberts and Kathy Allen of Oronogo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Funeral Home & Crematory (196 Sale Barn Rd, Cassville, MO 65625). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at the Russell Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Jacob's Ladder Nursing Home in Springfield.
