She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard O'Neal Scott; her brother Dwayne Overholtzer; her son-in-law Ron Houk; and her granddaughter Bridgett Dawn Houk. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Sowers (Terry) of Bolivar, David Scott (Revonda) of Dunnegan, Debbie Jenkins (Angelo Oddo) of Kansas City, Steve Scott (Kathy) of Bolivar, Beckie Bolin (Tim) of Bolivar, Tim Scott (Patsy) of Dunnegan and Lisa Cowden (Danny) of Dunnegan; her grandchildren, Tom Sowers, Courtney Welch, Cassie Scott, Ashlee Roth, Shawna Hartshorn, Sheila Rumfelt, James Houk, Brandon Scott, Stephanie Jenkins and Samuel Scott; and her stepgrandchildren, Todd Houk, Kristen Mann, Shanna Lewis and Michael Bolin. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her cousins, and her many friends and neighbors.
Since she was known as a great cook, her contributions to fellowship dinners and church fundraising events were well sought after.
