He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsey Ray Elder Sr. and Laura Mabel Lester Elder; his girlfriend Deborah Marold; his granddaughter Arielle Krysteen Turner; and his siblings, Lindsey Ray Elder Jr., Diana Rose Casida and Joyce May Elder.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Elder Barnard (Michael) of Butler, Stephanie Hartsell (Justin) of Garnett, Louann Mundell of Garnett, Kansas, Ray Elder of Lawrence and Nicholas Elder of Ottawa, Kansas; and his sisters, Alice Callahan of Virgina, Francis Pearsal (Irvin) of Montana, Patty Sheler (Clifford) of Kansas and Barbara McDaniel (Roy) of Florida. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
