He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Leslie Van Horn and Mildred Francis Van Horn (Dunlap); his half-brother Paul Sheldon VanHorn; and his grandson Nathaniel Scott Deems. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean VanHorn of Butler; his children, Dallas Wayne VanHorn (Karol) of Butler, Michael Shannon VanHorn (Tina) of Mexico, Missouri, Kelly Renee Deems (Daniel) of Blue Springs and Angela Dee VanHorn of Butler; his grandsons, Corey Dallas VanHorn (Andrea) of Butler, Dalton Wayne VanHorn of Olathe, Cody Eugene VanHorn of Mexico and Grant Richard VanHorn of Mexico; and his brother Jack Leroy VanHorn (Patricia) of Butler.
