He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Oerke and Nanetah Oerke (Massey); and his siblings, George, Edward Oerke, Gladys Compton and Rowena Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Bitner; his wife Shirley Oerke; his children, Neale Oerke (Tina), Nanetah Joanne Godfrey, Alice Jean Sommers, Laura Janice Day (Dennis) and Julia Bitner; and his brother Ken Oerke. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia United Methodist Church or to the Medicalodges of Buler Activity Fund.
