He is survived by: his father Herman Coleman Thomas Sr.; his wife Diana Dee of Butler, Missouri; his son Steven Kenneth Thomas (Patricia); his grandchildren, Damian Alexander Thomas of Pleasanton, Kansas, Makaila Ann Thomas of Pleasanton, Kansas and Silas Alan Cole Thomas of Pleasanton, Kansas; his stepson John Michael Green of Butler, Missouri; his brother Donald Lee Thomas; his nieces, Deanne "Dee" Bickett (Paul), Marjory "Midge" Hitze (Larry) and Jill Smith; and his nephew David Thomas.

The family requests no flowers. Contributions may be made to a charity of their choice in honor of Herman.
