He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Henry and Elizabeth Catherine Bendig Merriam. He is survived by: his wife Karla Loy Poore; his sons, Martin T. Merriam (Shelly) of Lake Winnebago and Brant J. Merriam of Harrisonville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Austin, Kennadi, Shannon and Wyatt; his sister Lorraine McCay; his nephew Kenny McCay; and his nieces, Debbie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., Carolyn of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. and Cheryl of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania..
