She was predeceased by: her parents, Othor Volner and Tressie Volner (Freeman); and her siblings, Leon, Bobby Dale, Larry Volner, Anna Belle Sumpter and Ruby Vinson.
She is survived by: her husband Columbus Sumpter of Centerville; and her children, Ricky Sumpter of O'Fallon, Phyllis Davis (Ricky) of Imperial, Rhonda Giles (Kevin) of Mount Olive and Patricia Corbin (Mike) of Dupo. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
