With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Harold Viets (Buffalo, Missouri), born in Roanoke, Illinois, who passed away on March 13, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry and Edna Luise Viets (Potts); his former wife Sherry Jo Davies; his wife Jo Ann Montgomery; his siblings, Edgar, Harold and Geraldine Debolt; his granddaughter Emily Jo; his great grandchild Corbin; and his siblings-in-law, Arthur Schoepke, Jeannette Viets and Willis McKnight.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Montgomery (Barbara), Bret Allen (Patsy) and Frederick Marlin; his siblings, Vera Schoepke, Marion McKnight and Marvin Viets; his brother-in-law Keith Debolt; his grandchildren, Anna Beth, Ricky (Cassie), Sean (Katie), Victoria (Jace), Lauren and Kaitlyn (Chance); and his great grandchildren, Madden, Berkeley, Avalynn, Maverick, Ellie and Lily. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Buffalo First Christian Church.
