He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Nansen Young and Alice Trow (Bauldin). He is survived by: his wife Roberta McCart; his children, Nick Young II (Crystal) of Rocky Comfort, Jason Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri, Theresa Slagle (Brian) of Battlefield, Julie Kinney (Richard) of Kansas City and Erin Bastel of Kansas City, Missouri; and his siblings, Mike Carter of Centralia, Todd Trow of Fair Grove, Missouri, Charlene Smith of Buffalo and Eileen Payne (Sam). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 5 and a half great-grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
