She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Nimmo and Leona Nimmo (Bennett); her husband Harold Gene "Doc" Powell; and her sisters, Phyllis Sharp and Helen Armstrong.
She is survived by: her children, Susie (Ronnie Bradley) of Buffalo, MO, Larry (Ann Powell) of Republic, MO and Randy (Lesa Powell) of Buffalo, MO; and her brother-in-law Buddy Armstrong of Brookline, MO.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers; one sister.
