He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dampier and Pauline Dampier (Berry); his grandson Cody Dampier; and his nephew Eric Kjar. He is survived by: his wife Karen Dampier (Kelsay); his children, Gary Dampier (Doris), Andy Dampier (Jennifer), Michelle Wingo (Mike), Tony Dampier (Jamie), Angie Swearingin and Cody Dampier; and his siblings, Peggy (Harvey), Pat (Jerry), Betty (Red), Dottie (David), Bill (Brenda) and Bobby J. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Mission Ridge Cemetery.
