He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pyykola and Ruby Pyykola (Dezotell); his wives, Joyce Hormann Pyykola and Lana Richardson (Rosenbaum); his daughter Jo Ann Pyykola; and his siblings, Jerry Pyykola and Mary Hansen (Pyykola).
He is survived by: his brothers, Don Pyykola (Lu) of Cambridge, MN, Bob Pyykola (Iris) of Eau Claire, WI and Wayne Hansen of Ida Grove, Iowa; his nieces and nephews, Laura White (Mark) of Lamar, MO, Pamla Pyykola of Neosho, MO, Karen Sharp (Warren) of Buffalo, MO and Kelly Gallion (Jerry) of Polo, MO.; and his grandchildren, Pamela Robison, Greg White, Cybille White, Shelly Sordon (AJ), Cassandra Robison, Samuel Allen, David Covarrubias, Nick White (Makayla), Joseph Magnusson (Samantha), Crystel Palmer (Jeremy), Kala Spencer (Dean), Kyle Shaffer, Nitasha Shaffer, Lilith Mygan, Steven Pyykola, Nathaniel Lee (Halle), Joshua Lee, Landon Lee (Kylee), Katelyn Baker (Lauren), David Hughes and Kelsey Gallion. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home - Buffalo (931 W Main St, Buffalo, MO 65622). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
