He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Ottis and Wanda Noema Evatt (Nicholas); his wife Betty Ruth Bowman; and his siblings, Diana Sue Evatt and Sonny Evatt.
He is survived by: his children, Emma Brown (Mitch) of Buffalo, Missouri, Ed Evatt (Lori) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Eric Evatt (Kristy) of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
